Dr Rebecca Farthing completed her osteopathic qualification at Victoria University which requires five years of full time study. This includes a Bachelor in Clinical Sciences and a Masters in Osteopathy. Rebecca has a keen interest in the treatment of headaches, pelvic girdle pain and peripheral joint pain (ie elbow, knee). She also believes and likes to promote patient’s overall well-being and good health through diet, exercise, stretches and strengthening programs. She believes this will help optimise long-term health and pain relief.
Rebecca has furthered her osteopathic education by completing a Graduate Certificate in Paediatric Manual Therapy which was completed at Victoria University. This has armed her with specific knowledge and skills in treating children from newborn babies through to young children for musculoskeletal complaints.
After helping and treating people with osteopathy for 10 years, Rebecca developed an interest in natural medicine. This lead Rebecca to complete her Advanced Diploma in Naturopathy. She now joins her osteopathic and naturopathic knowledge for her patients, allowing her to combine musculoskeletal health with natural medicine and nutrition.
As the founder and owner of Total Balance Healthcare, Rebecca has a high interest in patient care and rehabilitation available at Total Balance. She prides herself on her own care of the people that she treats and finds it very rewarding helping people with their aches and pains.
Rebecca is a member of Osteopathy Australia and Complementary Medicines Australia.
