Kirran has always loved movement and using yoga to help others.

Kirran initially completed a year long, Certificate in Health, Fitness and Sports Training and Austswim. Following this, she began seeking to explore and deepen her understanding of the mind/body connection to movement. Her journey began with yoga in 2002. Kirran firstly began practicing yoga from a book at home which eventually lead her to attend local classes in her hometown, Sydney.

Along the way, Kirran realized she wanted to deepen her knowledge and understanding of yoga. With this in mind, Kirran completed her 500 hour Hatha Yoga qualification with VIYETT in 2008.

Kirran has since undertaken a 200 hour Vinyasa yoga teacher training with Somachi Yoga. She continued on her path of furthering her yoga understanding while pregnant with her son, she decided to commence studies in Pre-and Post Natal training with Baby Bliss Yoga.

Kirran is equipped with 12 years’ experience in Education and Children’s Services. This has allowed her to teach yoga in Kindergartens, schools and holiday programs alongside teaching in studios and at her home.

During Kirran’s classes, she seeks to guide you through a flowing, playfully sequenced class where an emphasis on the breath is always explored. Playful doesn’t mean she is not a stickler for anatomical alignment!  Expect plenty of cues and tips along the way….

Kirran will incorporate energetic alignment into your classes in conjunction with the physical practice. She draws her energetic knowledge from yoga as well as solar and lunation cycles. This combines her studies in astrology in which she is qualified at a professional level.

“I love my personal journey through the practice of yoga, I don’t have words that describe everything this practice gives to me.

“As a teacher, I also do not have adequate words to capture how much I have learnt from the people of all ages and walks of life that I have had the privilege to share yoga with. The teacher is forever a student and for this I am eternally grateful.”
